At Poplar Springs, there are ministries for adults, children, seniors and youth, offering something for everyone.

Womens Missionary Union (WMU)
The WMU is an important outreach at Poplar
Springs. In addition to raising funds for national and international ministries such as the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering
and Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, the WMU also supports a local crisis pregnancy center, collects prisoner packets
at Christmas, sponsors Samaritans Purse Christmas Shoeboxes and benefits the community in various other ways.
Pictured above are Brenda Barnes, Glenda Martin, Mary Winkler and Bernice Peay at the Walhalla Fire Department
for "We're Here For You Day." In November 2007, the ladies of the WMU prepared baked goods and delivered
them to employees at the Walhalla Fire Dept. and Oconee Law Enforcement Center in appreciation for their service to the community.

Under the direction of Jennifer White, the youth at Poplar Springs are given Biblical instruction on how to live Christ-centered
lives and be effective witnesses to their peers. Throughout the year, Poplar Springs' Youth in Action (YIA)
are given opportunities to put their faith in action by holding backyard Bible schools in local neighborhoods.
They have also supported ministry efforts at children's homes and present dramas at local churches.

Children's ministries are integral to our work here at Poplar Springs. Our Wednesday
Bible School ensures that young people learn about Jesus and have a fun time . . . just like they do during Vacation Bible
School.
Pictured are some of the kids and youth preparing for an Easter drama.
