Poplar Springs Baptist Church

"Where everyone is someone and Jesus is Lord"

Golden Age Fellowship

The Golden Age Club meets monthly for a fellowship and meal.

Women's Missionary Union (WMU)

The WMU is an important outreach at Poplar Springs.  In addition to raising funds for national and international ministries such as the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering and Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, the WMU also supports a local crisis pregnancy center, collects prisoner packets at Christmas, sponsors Samaritans Purse Christmas Shoeboxes and benefits the community in various other ways.

(Pictured above are Bernice Peay, Dot Sheriff and Diane Gibson sorting Christmas gifts for needy children in Kentucky in 2009.)

Is that Stephen with Peter, Paul and Mary?  No, it's just Katie, Justin and David.

Under the direction of Stephen and Jessica Hudson, the youth at Poplar Springs are given Biblical instruction on how to live Christ-centered lives and be effective witnesses to their peers.  Throughout the year, Poplar Springs' youth are also given opportunities to put their faith in action by ministering within the community.
